Basumitra Majumdar is a Writer, Orator & Critic with International Fame who has made significant contributions in Contemporary Bengali Literature. Initially inspired by his father, Majumdar began his journey as an author from his boyhood, under the guidance of Pranatosh Chattopadhyay, a close friend and Biographer of Legendary Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. And also inspired by Narayan Chowdhury, a great Critic & Musicologist. Majumdar has excelled from strength to strength through his work and is a promising composer in modern Bengali. He is also working in the field of Music & Sanskrit.

His Achievements :

• He invited by the Govt. of Bangladesh, as an Honorable Guest & Researcher in International Nazrul Conference (2005) and received an Honorable Award from the Honorable President of Bangladesh.
  
  
• Achieved Outstanding Young Person Award (2000) from North Calcutta Junior Chamber.
  Gold Medal (Literature) from The Astrological Research Project (Kolkata) in the year 2006.
  
  
• Apart from being an author Majumdar owns the ability to Prognosticate the future. He calculates the  positioning of the Stars. A distinguished personality with an exceptional talent to silently creep into your hearts with his game of words.
